Image Hotspots
Change Log
New features
- Hover image fit. When a hover image's shape differs from the primary image, the hotspot editor shows a warning and a "Hover image fit" choice:
- Letterbox: whole image shown, empty margins where shapes differ (default).
- Crop: fills the area, edges cut off.
- Stretch: fills the area, image distorted to match.
Improvements
- Hover images now crossfade over the primary image instead of swapping it.
- Web part description now explains what it does, replacing the placeholder text.
- Package renamed to image-hotspots (sppkg, npm package, storage container, pipeline).
- Publisher name updated to Try Catch DVLMNT.
- Removed Teams personal app and Teams tab hosts. The web part wasn't designed for them; SharePoint page and full page remain.
Bug fixes
- Hover images of a different size no longer resize the image or move the hotspots.
- A newly added hotspot left invalid is now removed when the editor closes, instead of staying in the list.
- General bug fixes.
