Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 30, 2026
Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Image Hotspots, the interactive image web part for SharePoint and Microsoft 365 built by TryCatchDVLMNT, handles information when you use it. This policy covers Image Hotspots specifically — it does not cover other TryCatchDVLMNT products, websites, or services, which may have their own privacy policies.
Information the Web Part Uses
- Microsoft 365 sign-in. Image Hotspots runs inside your organization's SharePoint environment and uses your existing Microsoft 365 sign-in and SharePoint permissions. We do not create a separate Image Hotspots account or password.
- Images. Images you upload are stored in a document library (
ImageHotspotsLibrary) on your own SharePoint site, not in a separate TryCatchDVLMNT database. - Hotspot configuration. Hotspot names, shapes, coordinates, links, hover images, and accessibility descriptions are saved in the web part's settings on your SharePoint page.
No Analytics or Tracking
Image Hotspots does not collect analytics, telemetry, usage data, or diagnostic data, and it does not send your images or configuration to TryCatchDVLMNT or any third party. We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.
Data Storage & Location
All images and hotspot configuration stay within your organization's own Microsoft 365 and SharePoint environment, subject to your organization's data residency settings and Microsoft's compliance commitments.
Data Sharing
Because Image Hotspots does not send data to TryCatchDVLMNT, we have nothing to share. If you contact us for support, we use what you send only to respond, and may disclose information if required to do so by law.
Data Retention
Images and hotspot configuration are retained according to your organization's own SharePoint content lifecycle and retention settings. Removing the web part or deleting the library removes them according to those same settings.
Your Rights & Choices
You can contact us at any time with questions about how Image Hotspots handles information. Your organization's Microsoft 365/SharePoint administrators control access to and retention of your data through their own tenant administration tools.
Children's Privacy
Image Hotspots is a workplace tool intended for use within an organization's Microsoft 365 environment. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including when new editions such as Image Hotspots Pro are released. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
