Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how PointTask, the task management app for SharePoint and Microsoft 365 built by TryCatchDVLMNT, collects, uses, and protects information when you use the app. This policy covers PointTask specifically — it does not cover other TryCatchDVLMNT websites or services, which may have their own privacy policies.

Information We Collect

• Account & profile information. PointTask runs inside your organization's SharePoint and Microsoft 365 environment and uses your existing Microsoft 365 sign-in. We do not create a separate PointTask account or password. Through this sign-in, PointTask may access basic profile information such as your name, email address or user principal name (UPN), and tenant ID.
• Task & productivity data. Content you create in PointTask — tasks, kanban boards, checklists, focus/timer sessions, and the reports generated from that activity — is stored within your organization's own SharePoint and Microsoft 365 tenant, not in a separate TryCatchDVLMNT database.
• Usage & diagnostic data. We may collect limited technical information such as feature usage, error reports, and performance data to keep PointTask reliable and to guide improvements.

How We Use Information

We use the information above to operate and maintain PointTask, generate the task reports and summaries you request, diagnose and fix issues, and improve the app's features. We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.

Data Storage & Location

Your task and productivity data stays within your organization's own Microsoft 365 and SharePoint environment, subject to your organization's data residency settings and Microsoft's compliance commitments. Diagnostic and usage data is processed by TryCatchDVLMNT only as needed to operate and support the app.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with service providers (such as cloud hosting infrastructure) strictly to operate PointTask, or disclose information if required to do so by law.

Data Retention

Task and productivity data is retained according to your organization's own SharePoint content lifecycle and retention settings. Diagnostic logs are retained only as long as needed to support and troubleshoot the app.

Your Rights & Choices

You can contact us at any time to ask about, correct, or request deletion of your information. Your organization's Microsoft 365/SharePoint administrators also control access to and retention of your data through their own tenant administration tools.

Children's Privacy

PointTask is a workplace productivity tool intended for use by employees within an organization's Microsoft 365 environment. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
